If you’re looking for a solid tablet that’s not made by Apple, this is a great product to look at. Currently, Amazon, Best Buy, and Samsung’s own website are selling the base model Galaxy Tab S9 for $670. That’s $130 below list price and the lowest price we’ve ever seen, beating the low from a few weeks ago. The Tab S9 series is our top pick for Android tablets because of their multitasking capabilities, great screens, and useful accessories like keyboards.
Samsung
We like the Galaxy Tab S9 tablets because they can do everything you want a tablet to do, plus more productivity features. DeX mode for tablets creates a PC-like environment where you can easily switch between different applications and windows, making it easier to perform more complex tasks. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor can quickly support all this productivity, and the OLED display looks gorgeous. One of our concerns when recommending the Tab S9 series is that they tend to be expensive, but the $130 discount removes some of our hesitation.
The base model on sale here comes with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED touch screen, IP68 dust and water resistance, and supports Wi-Fi 6E. The included S Pen can be used to capture handwritten notes, doodles, and artistic creations. Other accessories, such as the keyboard case, are sold separately, and we couldn’t help but notice that the current price for that add-on is almost the same as the discount on the tablet.
For cheaper tablets, it’s worth noting that the budget recommendations in our Android tablet guide are also on sale. Save $50 on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 11-inch tablet at Walmart, with prices starting at $220. The Google Pixel tablet with charging speaker dock, which we think is the best option for a tablet that doubles as a smart display, is currently 20% off at Amazon , starting at $399. This is in line with its all-time low.
