Some companies are bringing monitors, TVs or laptops powered by artificial intelligence to CES. Others will bring a toilet seat that talks to you. Kohler, the 151-year-old bathroom appliance company, will launch the PureWash E930 bidet in Las Vegas next week. This accessory works with most elongated toilets, turning your dumb pot into an Alexa or Google Assistant powered smart toilet.
Kohler says the PureWash E930 bidet “brings you a refreshing personal cleansing experience in a slim, low-profile design.” At $2,149, it’s not cheap, but compared to a full smart toilet, it gives you Save money and installation hassles. (Kohler’s models range in price from $8,000 to $10,000.)
When the PureWash E930 senses motion, its lid can be opened and closed hands-free. It has a self-cleaning mode using built-in UV light. Using Alexa or Google Home, you can control your smart seat hands-free (no small luxury when it comes to bathroom fixtures). Amazon and Google’s voice assistants can turn on bidet spray, warm air dryers and UV cleaning at your command.
This accessory supports front and rear wash modes, heated seats and two remote controls with programmable presets. The bidet automatically sprays water into the toilet before use “for more efficient flushing when flushing.” Its water temperature and pressure are adjustable, and you can choose between an oscillating spray or a pulsating spray.
Boost spray mode (rear only) automatically adjusts your hindquarter hose to its maximum pressure setting. There is also a children’s mode that provides “gentle washing” for children. When drying is required, it includes a hot air system with adjustable temperature settings.
The seat features LED lighting that turns your toilet into a night light. It even includes Kohler’s “Quiet Close” technology to prevent the seat from slamming. The seat features a quick release feature and can be easily removed for deeper cleaning.
The PureWash E930 is now available to order from Kohler’s website (in white). A black colorway will be available in late February.
We will provide live coverage of CES 2024, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 6th to 12th.Get all the latest news from the show here.
