Have you noticed that when your Android Clock app alarm goes off, it doesn’t show up? I experienced this recently and have outlined the steps to resolve the issue in this short how-to guide.
Proceed as follows:
- Press and hold the Android Clock app until it displays some information.
- Then, click the app’s info icon (question mark icon). This will open the application information page.
- Scroll down and click “Save Usage.”
- Finally, to resolve the issue and make the Android Clock Alarm app appear when the ringtone sounds, tap Clear Cache.
Clearing the Clock app’s data will clear and reset all previous alarms and you will have to set them up again. Before proceeding, I highly recommend that you write down all your alarms and clock settings.
- After clearing the cache of the Android Clock app, if the bell still does not appear when ringing, click “Clear Data” on the app’s storage screen (step 4). Then, to confirm the action, click Delete.
- After resetting an app’s data, you will receive a message to set its notification settings when you open the app. Turn on “Allow Notifications”.
Then, make sure Lock Screen and Banners are turned on. Also, enable all categories.
Now when your Android Clock App alarm goes off, it will show up even if your phone is locked!
