One owner posted a TikTok showing potential issues that may exist. Due to too much lubricant on the gas pedal, the cap may come loose and slide forward, becoming lodged in a gap in the floor. This effectively resulted in the throttle being fully engaged, creating an obviously dangerous situation. However, Tesla has not confirmed the specific reason for the delay or recall.
Tesla says deliveries should resume on April 20 (yes), but the situation could have a ripple effect that slows down deliveries later. The car finally entered production late last year after numerous delays, but it also received other complaints from buyers.
