    Engadget got to experience a more in-depth demo of Apple’s mixed reality headset as pre-orders begin later this week. Editor-in-Chief Dana Wollman and Associate Editor Cherlynn Low outfitted the Vision Pro for some more extensive demos, including immersive video, a bit of Disney+, and trying out typing on the Vision Pro’s floating keyboard.

    They discuss the fitting process, the attention to detail in the Disney+ viewer app, and room for improvement in keyboard, comfort, and usability.     Apple shipped more smartphones than any other company last year

    This is the first time Apple has topped the list.

    The latest analysis of smartphone shipments from IDC and Canalys both show that Apple has beaten Samsung to launch more smartphones than any other company. Preliminary data from IDC shows that Apple will ship 234.6 million units in 2023, equivalent to a market share of 20.1%. In comparison, Samsung shipped 226.6 units and had a market share of 19.4%. This is the first time Samsung has fallen from the number one spot since 2010.

    At the time, Nokia was in the lead.
