At today’s CES press conference, TCL announced a lot of things, but the one it seemed most proud of was Nxtpaper 3.0 display technology. The company believes it could be a game changer. Nxtpaper is a healthy display technology that looks and feels more like paper than a harsh, harsh, harmful screen.
According to TCL, 70% of people watch screens for more than 5 hours a day. This can cause considerable eye strain and fatigue. Nxtpaper technology is implemented to solve this pain point. It achieves a comfortable screen by combining hardware and software.
In terms of hardware, multiple layers are stacked on top of the LCD display to reduce blue light by up to 61%. On top of that, you also have a layer of paper that reduces glare, reflections, and fingerprints even in the brightest environments. TCL Mobile Marketing Chief Stefan Streit demonstrated the display at a brightly lit press conference and testified that there are no reflections or glare on the display.
This technology is designed to provide panels that are as natural as possible and prioritize your eye health. As a result, users will also receive periodic health care reminders that may require them to step away from the screen for a period of time.
TCL has launched new paper technology on several devices. The Nxtpaper 14 Pro tablet has 2.8K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. One of the coolest things about the 14 Pro is the button on top that instantly turns the tablet into an e-reader at the push of a button. This is a great feature in terms of accessibility and commuting. The Tab 10 5G tablet also uses new paper technology, while the TCL 50 phone series uses the 50 XL and 50 XE.
