You don’t need to spend four figures to find a great smartphone. In fact, you don’t even need to spend half as much to grab one that covers all the basics. At the regular price of $300, it’s already our top pick. It’s currently on sale for $US250 ($50), which makes it an even better deal. This is close to an all-time low. This discount is part of a wider promotion on .

No matter how you slice it, the OnePlus Nord N30 5G is a huge value. The phone is powered by a relatively fast Snapdragon 695 5G processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD card.

You get a 16MP front lens, 108MP main lens and a 2MP macro lens on the rear. The 5,000mAh battery should last you through a day of moderate use, and OnePlus says 50W fast charging support will charge from 1 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. The OnePlus Nord N30 5G also features a 6.7-inch, 120Hz IPS display, which is great for gaming.

The downside is that there is no IP rating for dust or water resistance. Although the phone runs Oxygen OS 13.1 (based on Android 13), OnePlus has only promised to bring one major Android update to the N30, as well as three years of security support. It’s a shame for those who want to stay up to date for a few years without spending too much money, but this level of Android support is typical for budget phones.
