OnePlus has announced the pricing and availability of its flagship OnePlus 12 and budget OnePlus 12R smartphones, as well as the OnePlus Buds 3. The OnePlus 12 will be available on February 6, starting at $799 for the 256GB version and $899 for the 512GB model. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 12R is priced at $599 and the OnePlus Buds 3 are priced at $99. Both latter models will be available a week later, on February 13th.
Both phones have been launched in China, but as a reminder, the OnePlus 12 comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 12GB of RAM (expandable to 24GB), and up to 1TB of storage. It has a 50-megapixel main camera (using Sony’s large LYT-808 1/1.4-inch sensor) and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. It also features a 6.82-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, up to 100W wired fast charging (50W wireless), and is available in gloss white, matte black or green.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus 12R is upgraded to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM (upgradable to 16GB) and 256GB of storage. It offers what the company calls "World number one" The LTPO 4.0 screen features a smart dynamic refresh rate system that switches between 1Hz and 120Hz refresh rates to improve performance and battery life. It features a 50-megapixel main camera and a 5,500mAh battery (apparently the largest battery ever installed in a OnePlus phone), along with the same 100W/50W wired/wireless charging capabilities as the flagship.
Finally, the OnePlus Buds 3 give you AI-based noise cancellation (up to 49dB), and an ultra-wide 15Hz to 40Khz frequency response. They provide 10 hours of non-stop playback, or 44 hours of non-stop playback via the charging case. With the LHDC 5.0 Bluetooth codec, they are certified as high-definition audio wireless devices by the Japan Audio Association. It all needs to be tested, but at $99 it’s a steal.
OnePlus promises you will "Experience a fun future" With the new product, we can imagine that the user experience will be fast and smooth using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The OnePlus 12 also appears to have the company’s best camera yet, with Hasselblad technology and 4K Dolby Vision video. We’ll be taking a look at it soon and let you know if it delivers on those promises.
