The latest update is rolling out and as always there are some handy features. From now on, whenever you live stream on the Meta Quest app, your stream will continue when you take off your headphones. This should help avoid interruptions. There are also specific upgrades, including the ability to use external microphones via the USB-C port, and resolution and image quality improvements for pass-through mixed reality capabilities.
But that’s not all. Quest 3 users will be able to take advantage of an experimental feature that allows them to use the headset while lying on their back. If you enable the “Use apps while lying down” option from the Experiments section of Settings, you can reset the view while lying down simply by holding down the menu button.
As a result, you should be able to relax in immersive media and gaming experiences without having to hold your head upright. Turning around to see what’s going on elsewhere in the environment can be a bit cumbersome, though.
Elsewhere, if any of your friends do use the app, it’s now easier to meet up with friends in . Whenever a friend is in the public world and their location is turned on, you can join them from the People app in the universal menu.
