Nintendo gave Princess Peach a set of appropriately colored Joy-Cons.On Tuesday, the company release On X (Twitter), a set of pale pink Joy-Con controllers will be launched at the same time Princess Peach: It’s show time! March 22nd.
The shoes will be available at Nintendo Stores and “select retailers” for a limited time. While the company hasn’t specified how much they’ll cost, $80 (the standard price for Joy-Cons) is probably a safe bet.
Nintendo already released a batch of pale pink left Joy-Con last summer, paired with a pale yellow Joy-Con. So, if we’re talking from a technical perspective, the completely original part of Peach’s long-overdue tribute appears to be half a controller. Engadget reached out to Nintendo to ask if the light pink color in the Peach set is the same color as the pink/yellow pairing in the promotional image below. We will update this article if we receive a response.
Of course, the theme Joy-Con is just the highlight. Princess Peach: It’s show time! Announced at September’s Nintendo Direct, the pseudo-platformer sees the eternal damsel in distress take center stage as the hero in a story that saves theaters ( village species, not the Papenheimer species) from the evil grapes and sour bunch.
Peach can wield ribbons as whip-like weapons, which are loaned to her by the theater’s guardian, a floating star named Stella. (She may play a similar role to Cappy super mario odyssey and prince florian super mario miracle). Peach can also use her dramatic quick-change abilities to transform into a ninja, swordsman, detective, pastry chef, cowgirl, and kung fu artist—providing the frequent MacGuffins in Mario stories with interesting abilities to counter her legacy.
