LG just announced new products at the CES 2024 early press conference.Included are two new LG Gram Pro laptops and standard updates
The LG Gram Pro has impressive specs, with an Intel Core Ultra processor and a GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. The computers are also equipped with Intel’s AI Boost technology. LG said the upgrade enables the laptop to “handle artificial intelligence workloads even without an Internet connection.”
This AI folly also extends to the company’s proprietary Link app, which can now automatically share files and photos between devices. Finally, this is the first Gram laptop to feature a dual-fan cooling system. AI tools are known to be power-hungry, and this will help avoid excess heat. You can choose between 16-inch and 17-inch models here.
The LG Gram Pro 2-in-1 has similar specs to the standard Pro, but with a convertible form factor and a versatile 16-inch OLED display. There’s a touch screen, a 360-degree adjustable hinge, and an “ultra-thin bezel design.” This hybrid laptop comes with Intel’s AI Boost technology and LG’s Link app. It’s also lightweight, weighing about 3 pounds, and the company claims it’s the “lightest 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop.” oops. The records definitely became very specific.
The standard LG Gram range has also been nicely updated, with new versions of the Gram 17, 16, 15 and 14 models. Each product features an Intel Core Ultra processor and an IPS panel with anti-glare coating. The 17 and 16 models have WQXGA resolution displays, while the smaller SKUs come with FHD or WUXGA resolution displays. Suitable for everyday business and school use, these laptops come equipped with a Full HD webcam and “a variety of user-friendly software.”They also have the same Mirametrix privacy technology
If you’re in Las Vegas in two weeks, all of these laptops will be on display as part of LG’s reveal at CES 2024. The company hasn’t announced pricing or availability yet, but has said each laptop will appear on store shelves sometime in 2024.
