The iPhone 15 Pro Max has been plagued by explosive reports of overheating issues and other flaws, but with some software fixes, the Apple phone has emerged from the ashes unscathed. After two months of using Apple’s most expensive smartphone, I personally haven’t encountered any of these flaws.

In fact, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is so It’s great, and I think it’ll probably attract the most dedicated Android fans into the Apple ecosystem. This is coming from someone who also owns a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and loves it.

Check out five features that have been game-changers for me, especially for work.

5 new features of iPhone 15 Pro Max that will change the game for work

    1. Name deletion

No, you don’t need to own an iPhone 15 Pro Max to enjoy NameDrop. The feature works on iPhones running iOS 17, but using it with my Pro Max eased my first-time anxiety.

For starters, NameDrop lets you hover your iPhone over another iPhone to exchange contact information. You no longer have to perform the awkward dance of how best to exchange phone numbers. You just need to use NameDrop and you can get the contact information of the other party in seconds.

I’m constantly meeting new people in my field, so NameDrop is by far the most useful iOS 17 feature. Also, I’ve noticed that many iPhone users still don’t know about NameDrop, so holding my phone in close contact with theirs – and watching their eyes widen in surprise as the glowing animation appears – is always satisfying to me.

    2. Good battery life

With the iPhone set to maximum brightness, I conducted a TikTok run test on the iPhone 15 Pro Max (it played TikTok until the battery ran out). It lasts about 11 hours on a single charge. In the same test, my Galaxy S22 Ultra lasted just over 9 hours.

No, the iPhone 15 Pro Max doesn’t offer amazing two-day battery life or anything (at least in my experience), but it definitely beats my own Android phone in terms of energy efficiency.

    3. Charge other devices via USB-C cable

When Apple officially announced the end of Lightning in favor of USB-C, I heard a chorus of “Hallelujah.”

Best of all, I can use the iPhone 15 Pro Max to power other devices, including my AirPods Pro and Ray-Ban Stories (the predecessor to the new Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses).

    4. Operation buttons

Action buttons are more useful than you think. At first glance, when you scroll through the action button presets, you might think: “Okay, I can customize the action buttons to launch apps like the flashlight, camera, magnifier, and translator. So what?”

In fact, the possibilities for operating the buttons are endless. I personally use it as a quick launcher for Google Authenticator, which is a godsend for many logins that require two-factor authentication. On weekdays when meetings are busy, I switch the Action Button to the Notes app.

Granted, my Galaxy S22 Ultra also has a “side button” that can be customized to launch any app, but the action button is very functional and has more options to work with, especially when it comes to accessing shortcuts.

    5. Clear video

I have used iPhone 15 Pro Max and Galaxy S22 Ultra to photograph technology products at work. Which one is better? iPhone 15 Pro Max No doubt about it.

Its 48MP wide-angle camera lens is better suited for lifelike capture when you want to take photos that accurately render scenes “as is”. This is especially important in my line of work because I want my readers to have the most accurate, honest opinion of the products I test, review, and experience.

On the other hand, I prefer using the Galaxy S22 Ultra for selfies. iPhone 15 Pro Max’s 12MP front camera is almost also Nice and captures my “I only had three hours of sleep last night” dark circles and “life stresses me out” crow’s feet.

    final thoughts

The action button is probably my favorite iPhone feature in years. If Apple wants to even the score better onewhich allows users to customize operations through different gestures (e.g., triple press, press and hold).

Next came NameDrop, which extended to iOS. The seamless exchange of contacts has been a game changer for my field of work. Secondly, who can resist the fact that iOS actually lets you edit and delete text in 15 minutes? It’s great for those embarrassing typos you made with your colleagues.

Has the iPhone 15 Pro Max won me over? So far. However, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is on its way, so let’s see if it can lure me back into Samsung’s arms.
