Instagram just announced a set of interactive stickers. Music is probably the most fun because it is. Adding your music stickers allows users to share their favorite songs and prompts followers to have fun by sharing their own related tracks. Of course, the song must already exist in Instagram’s music library in order to use it.

To that end, Instagram has teamed up with Dua Lipa to promote her new album, radical optimism. Many songs from the album can be used in this way, and the artist himself has posted Stories with the “Add your music” sticker.

Another beautiful sticker added today is called “Reveal”. Selecting this sticker will blur the visuals of your Story post, and the only way followers can view the content is by private messaging the person who shared it. Direct messages have become a key factor in Instagram’s continued growth, with site manager Adam Mosseri saying teens actually spend more time in direct messages than anywhere else on the platform.

He also said that “almost all” growth in engagement over the past few years has come from private messages and stories. . So, yes, this will definitely be used by savvy creators to increase their engagement. Thirst traps will make it easier to get thirsty and trapped than ever before.

Instagram also launched stickers called Frames. This tool puts a Polaroid-style overlay over your photo, turning it into an instant printable image. To reveal the content, followers must go through Andre 3000 and shake their phone like a Polaroid photo, albeit with a button. Creators can add subtitles, which will also be displayed when shaking. This feature was originally introduced in .

Finally, there is a feature called “Cut”. This tool converts any part of a movie or photo in your camera roll into a sticker, which can then be applied to a story or reel. Once a cutout is created, it’s saved to an easily accessible sticker tray for future use. This also applies to photos posted to Instagram, but these photos must be shared through a public account.

It’s been a month of big changes for Instagram. In addition to the new sticker system mentioned above, social media apps can enhance original content and deemphasize syndicated accounts. The company has also changed the way Reels works, giving smaller accounts the chance to expand coverage, although it’s unclear how this will work. If you want some confident but definitely wrong answers to your questions, Instagram has recently provided that too.
