did The rise of skywalker and rampant speculation The question of which Skywalker is rising, who is the Skywalker, and why they are rising has some at Lucasfilm scratching their heads?almost every point Star Wars What we’ve gotten since then for the small screen (and planned for the big screen) is a character title named after the person or group we’re following. What happened to a little talent?
Granted, this is a cause for concern when it comes to the future. Star Wars (They should try to actually get some of these Movies they announced they were making, for example, it looks like they’re finally actually trying it! ).If Kathleen Kennedy takes the stage sometime this year and declares, it won’t be the end of the galaxy far, far away as we know it captain rex, Luten, back column, Torinfall, Thrawnor slope as a future project—Or at least it won’t show up in Select name individually.
But the shocking news this week is that the next Star Wars Films entering production will be The Mandalorian and Grogua movie starring The Mandalorian (we can’t even call him Din Djarin) and Grogu makes me think all these movie and show names are just… kinda boring? Star Wars Be big, broad, juicy, intense, weird, exciting, thrilling. At its best, it evokes a sense of mystery, adventure, and a desire to travel. It’s not just the character names we know are being treated as their own sub-brands, it’s weird branding behavior.for Star Wars To inspire, it can’t just be “here’s a character you already know and that’s it.” This is something the series has had to consider time and time again in many other ways lately, but it feels like more of a question when the vast majority of projects we hear about are even just called that, even beyond what we know about Familiar faces.
it’s not like Star Wars The title has to be super fancy or something – the titles of the mainline movies are all very literal in their own way. Luke was a part of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and The Last Jedi. The Sith were the Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith. The Sequel Trilogy is arguably the vaguest of these titles, and even then, not by much: Rey and Kylo Ren represent a dichotomy in the reawakening of the Force during a major galactic event, and the real point is that no one is truly the last of Jedi, and then, of course, Rey becomes the heir to the Skywalker legacy. But they sparked curiosity and inspiration, evoking ideas that inspired pulp science fiction Star Wars First, let you ask questions and deduce meaning. The Mandalorian and Grogu Just telling you the Mandalorian and Grogu will be in it. why should we careWhat prompted this story to become a big screen story, what makes this worth it instead of turning it into anything The Mandalorian Season 4?Maybe at this point, Lucasfilm is eager to get Star Wars Back in theaters, we’re not really going to get more information from the title: You Like The Mandalorian, isn’t it? Do you like Baby Yoda? Well, here they are, The Mandalorian and Grogu™!
Still, we get some classic mystery and sparkle here. boba fett books Might be reminiscent of a character’s name, but it at least adds a bit of pizzazz, although I could do without these words when trying to heal The plot of that show Like chapters of a coherent novel. acoit Presumably named after a specific character from Rise of the Sith/Fall of the Republic, even though it’s not their literal name, it still sounds dark, mysterious, and interesting. skeleton crew It’s named that way because, at least as far as we know, this is a series that focuses on a lot of brand new characters that you can’t really evoke by name, but at the same time, it still gives you an idea of what’s going on in a What happens to a shabby, ragtag team. So they stand out even more among the sea of character titles we already have!
when we expect Star WarsThere is indeed hope for the future—even if little is known about some things. planned moviesthe suggestions we’ve had so far, like Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy’s New Jedi Order movie (God, please don’t just call it Rey Now), potential improvisation by Dave Filoni heir to the empire (If this is what we get, it’s definitely a borrowed title, but it’s cool title), or James Mangold’s movie about Dawn of the Jedi (which certainly doesn’t have a character we’re named after yet!) might point to Star Wars Back to that cheesy title again. We can only hope.
