NEW YORK – Verizon Business announced it is partnering with Xerox (Nasdaq: ) Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: XRX) to implement its Network as a Service (NaaS) solutions framework designed to advance Xerox’s business transformation and operating model. This strategic move will enable Xerox to dynamically expand its network resources, thereby increasing IT efficiency and promoting innovation and growth within the company.
Verizon Business chief revenue officer Massimo Peselli said their smart network framework is tailor-made to enable enterprises to adapt to the future of network services with unparalleled flexibility and scalability.
Verizon’s NaaS solutions provide a secure network platform that improves operational efficiency and adapts quickly, offering a variety of pre-configured and hosted services on a subscription-based consumption model.
Louie Pastor, chief transformation and administrative officer at Xerox, emphasized the importance of simplifying systems to achieve enterprise-wide efficiency and scalability. By deploying Verizon’s NaaS as its global network infrastructure, Xerox aims to maintain its position at the forefront of innovation while improving the efficiency of its global operations.
The service will be available at more than 300 Xerox and Xerox Business locations around the world and will be powered by Verizon’s next-generation global network infrastructure, which adheres to Zero Trust principles of technology reinvestment.
Verizon Business will provide Xerox with Internet connectivity and a suite of managed services, including wide area network (WAN), local area network (LAN) and wireless LAN (WLAN), as well as other services such as Verizon Care through the NaaS solution.
With a subscription-based model, Xerox will be able to avoid the large upfront investments typically associated with traditional network infrastructure, providing greater flexibility for strategic resource allocation.
Today’s announcement further strengthens Verizon’s commitment to a Network-as-a-Service foundation and supports its growth directions, including private networks, mobile edge computing and business solutions. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: NYSE: ), with a global IP network covering more than 1 million miles, continues to be a leading provider of technology and communications services with 2023 revenue of $134 billion.
