Elon Musk’s X is changing its Verified Organization program to launch a new, more affordable tier for small businesses.

The $1,000 per month “Full Access” plan.
Brands on X can also subscribe to the annual Basic plan, which costs $2,000 per year. Currently, annual plans are not available with the Full Access plan.
What is the basic plan?
The official @Verified account on
Verified organizational base accounts receive a gold checkmark verification badge, X’s Priority Support, and X’s recruiting platform for job postings. X will also provide advertising credits equal to the amount paid by the subscriber. For example, at the $200 per month level, users will receive $200 in ad credits per month. Additionally, subscription accounts will receive all the benefits of the X Premium Premium+ plan.
As a quick refresher, X Premium is an $8-per-month subscription plan for non-organizational users that includes a blue verification badge, the ability to publish longer video and text posts, and other perks like monetization eligibility.Late last year, X launched an additional Premium+ plan for $16 per month, which includes all the features of the Premium plan, plus some extras like no ads and access to the company’s AI chatbot Gronk.
Therefore, for $200 per month, a verified organization on the Basic plan will receive all of the above services, just like an organization paying $2,000 per month.
Basic vs Full Access Verified Organization Plans
There is a significant price difference between the Basic plan at $2,000 per year and the Full Access Verified Organization plan at $12,000 per year.
The biggest difference is that Basic users do not have access to the additional features provided by Full Access. Affiliations allow verified organizational accounts to list other X accounts on their profile. Once listed, these accounts will receive X Premium as well as a logo next to their verified badge, showing their affiliation with a verified organizational account.
According to X, basic users will not receive a “2x increase” when posting on the platform.
It’s clear that X is launching this new basic tier because the $1,000 per month Verified Organization subscription is out of reach for many users. The $8-a-month X Premium plan has long faced similar struggles attracting new users.
However, the new Basic plan doesn’t include the most complete proven organization feature: affiliates. Unless the user is already spending that much per month on advertising on Premium+ plan costs more. The only real difference appears to be that the account username has a gold verification checkmark instead of a blue verification checkmark.
