It took several more months to prepare for prime time after 18 inches. Those who have been waiting for the company’s latest product can now order the 2024 version of the Razor Blade 18, starting at $3,099.
The base system comes with an i9-14900HX processor, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD storage, Wi-Fi 7, a three-fan cooling system, and a six-speaker array with THX spatial audio support. In terms of GPU, you can equip the laptop with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (the base model comes with a 4070 graphics card). Razer claims this is the first laptop to feature Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, but only if you choose the 4080 or 4090 GPU.
The display is one of the highlights of this laptop. It comes standard with a QHD+ 300Hz Mini-LED display. If you want higher fidelity, you can choose a 4K 200Hz screen. Since CES, the company seems to have discovered the extra 35 Hz, as at the time it said the Razer Blade 18 would have a 4K 165Hz display option. Razer claims the monitor is the world’s first laptop monitor, and it will cost an extra $1,700, well above the cost of an equivalent standalone monitor. You’ll also have to wait until later this summer for a model with a 4K 200Hz panel, but you can buy one with a QHD+ display now.
We think the same will be true this time around for a fully equipped configuration. However, if you need a high-end laptop with a large screen that can run any program or game, then the latest Razer Blade 18 can meet your needs if you have the money to spare.
