Casetify is known for making durable and stylish phone cases, but it also has a variety of eco-friendly options. The latest is its compostable line, made from 100% compostable plant-based materials, called “Ecotify.” Basically, it’s a mixture of bamboo, biopolymers, and starch.

The regular compostable series has about 4 feet of drop protection, while the super compostable series has extra corner bumpers and has about 6.6 feet of drop protection. My advice is to go with the more durable ultra-compostable option, even if it does cost a bit more.

Unfortunately, Casetify’s compostable range is only for iPhones, but it does make other types of sustainable cases for iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones – they’re just not compostable. Instead, they are made from 65% recycled materials. Additionally, Casetify offers the option to return old boxes, which they will then reuse or upcycle to create new ones, reducing waste.

The best thing about Casetify cases is that they are very customizable. Not only can you pick your favorite bumper color and design (Casetify regularly partners with brands and illustrators to come up with unique styles), but you can actually add engravings to it. You can also choose to add more protection with a thicker bumper (Casetify says the “Bounce Case” offers 13-foot drop protection).
