Over the past few years, there has been a surge in the number of interesting Bengaluru rush moments that have left the public either divided or surprised by what they had just read or seen.
Adding to this growing list of moments, a man on X (formerly Twitter) recounted an incident from 2012 when he and two of his friends were stopped by traffic police and fined 500 for not carrying luggage Rs pollution control certificate in their car.

Aashish Bansal recalled how his friends rushed to the nearest ATM to withdraw money to pay the fine and upon returning to the spot, he was seen exchanging words with a traffic policeman who ran an advertising agency Business card, the scene turned out like this. had the opportunity to discuss the advertising industry, which he joined in 2010.
“Two friends came over from Australia and we spent the night on the 13th floor. In those days, microbreweries were not introduced in Bengaluru and IRR was not bothered by the constant traffic after 10 pm.”
“One of the four of us was the designated driver and was not under the influence of alcohol because we knew the checkpoint in Domrul would obviously be manned by police,” the man wrote in a post on Thursday.
Bansal also said that one of the reasons he was able to speak freely with the police was the lack of traffic on the roads at 11pm on a Saturday, which is hard to imagine in this day and age.
“I was exchanging business cards with a traffic enforcement officer. The volunteer ran an advertising agency, and I had just gotten into advertising two years ago.”
“We had a long conversation about what happened and ended up exchanging business cards. It helped that there was very little traffic in Domrul at 11pm on a Saturday – it’s unimaginable now,” he wrote.

One of the users responded to the man’s post asking if they ended up paying the fine, to which Bansal replied that they did pay the amount and even received a receipt in return.
