As it continues to develop its network security infrastructure, PLDT Enterprise has earned status as a premium managed security services provider (MSSP) partner with its expertise in Fortinet’s secure cloud-based Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) .
PLDT Inc. is the first telecommunications company in the Philippines to obtain SD-WAN specialization, according to the company.
As business operations and data storage increasingly rely on cloud technology, through secure SD-WAN technology, it can mainly provide secure network solutions to its enterprise customers and partners.
PLDT will receive operational support from Fortinet, which has the Network Security Expert (NSE) certification to manage SD-WAN technology.

PLDT and Fortinet have been collaborating on SD-WAN related projects since 2019 to provide new technologies and management of SD-WAN solutions.
The company said the recognition was part of PLDT’s “ambitious multi-year transformation, in which improving customer experience is one of the key priorities”.
