After nearly seven years of activity on PlayStation 4 and PS5, the PlayStation Tournaments platform is getting its first branded competition, with names at the top of the screen covered in gooey red pepper salsa. Chipotle Challenger Series Includes Tekken 8 The PS5 tournament will hold qualifiers from April 15th to 26th, open to anyone who wants to test their fighting game skills or just score some free snacks. All qualifiers will receive a code for free chips and guacamole from Chipotle. Per the company’s official rules, the freebie must be redeemed with a full-priced entree and can only be purchased online or in-app. Additionally, the offer expires on May 31st.But hey, there’s still a clear path through Tekken 8 Have fun here.
The Chipotle Challenger Series will continue with closed qualifiers and finals on May 3-4. First place will receive a $5,000 prize, a chance for two to compete at Evo 2024 in Las Vegas from July 19-21, and free Chipotle for a year. Upon closer inspection, the deal “includes Chipotle bonus points toward one free regular entree every week for a year, or up to 52 regular entrees total,” which actually sounds a lot healthier than eating Chipotle every day. Just like the year some of you weirdos have been fantasizing about.
Second place will receive $3,500, a trip to Evo for two, and a $300 Chipotle gift card. Third place will receive $2,500 and a $250 gift card. Place 16 will no longer receive the bonus ($475), but places 17 through 1,250(!) will receive a free Chipotle entry code.
There is also an official Tekken 8 Battle Bowl (sounds like a really good chicken game) where you order from the Chipotle app or website and are automatically entered for a chance to win a game Tekken 8 Premium collector’s edition signed by director Katsuhiro Harada. This offer is valid from April 8th to 16th.
Technically, it feels like you can put together a complete Chipotle order for free from these prizes, the only requirement is that you play Tekken 8 Through PlayStation Tournament on PS5. You’ll have to be better than 1,249 people to get the full bounty, but it sounds like it’s worth a try. Good luck, warriors.
