Rather than controlling the device via your home wireless network, the 11S Max comes with a remote that handles scheduling and other smart features, such as cleaning mode selection. It also has a manual button on the top to start a session. It has three power modes – Standard, BoostIQ and Maximum – with BoostIQ providing a good balance of adequate suction and noise levels. In our quiz, a BoostIQ session lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes. It’s obstacle avoidance is impressive at avoiding random objects, despite occasionally hitting walls. The vacuum is about an inch and a half thinner than many other robot vacuums we tested, which allows it to be placed under low furniture for a more thorough cleaning.
