1. Business Planning Department
The Business Planning Department will oversee the strategies of the Corporate Health Business Unit, Smart M&S Department and Data Utilization Business Unit, while exploring data solution business opportunities for the Omron Group through co-creation with client companies. In addition to the FA material solution project in collaboration with i-BELT services provided by the Industrial Automation Business Unit, one of Omron’s key businesses, the unit will also designate project themes to create new business units in the future. In addition, this department will coordinate with Omron’s Innovation Exploration Program headquarters to expand and advance DSB through co-creation with JMDC and external startups.
2. Corporate Health Division
By leveraging JMDC’s data analytics, the Corporate Health Business Unit will work to create projects that improve corporate productivity and corporate health insurance financials. The unit will use data from across business units to develop solutions to extract and prevent high-risk groups (such as hypertension) from developing serious diseases, safeguard women’s health, and improve employee perceptions of currentism. These initiatives will lay the foundation for the division to carry out related businesses.
3. Intelligent Marketing Division
Based on the analysis and utilization of data, the Smart Marketing Division will use various cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and remote technology to create new solutions to enhance the value and efficiency of retail, distribution, energy and social systems. The unit will work with Omron Social Solutions Co., Ltd. and Omron Field Engineering Co., Ltd. to develop business models that address social issues.
4. Data Utilization Division
Deployment of Omron’s Field Data Utilization Support Solution Business (Pengu), a work improvement tool that balances industrial digitization of field work and human resource development. To date, the tool has been widely used in manufacturing industries, including the manufacturing of automotive parts, mechanical/electrical products, electronic components/equipment, semiconductor-related products, and food products. By leveraging Omron’s data technology and framework, and implementing training programs for professional system engineers, Omron aims to help society progress so that anyone can freely use data on-site in various manufacturing fields.
