Nanoleaf, a company known for its modular wall sconce tiles, is now moving outside your house. As part of CES 2024 smart home news, the company has launched its first exterior light designed to bring more visibility to your home. It also released the Orchestrator app, which lets you create light shows that sync with your playlists and songs.
The company says the new outdoor string lights and permanent outdoor lights are the company’s first exterior lighting products and “bring the magic of dynamic gradients and a warm ambience to your home’s exterior spaces, illuminating patio areas, backyards and gardens year-round.” ”.
Nanoleaf also announced a new smart multi-color light strip suitable for indoor use. All new panels work with the Nanoleaf app and integrate with the company’s other products in terms of control and customization. You can also group products together, use the Matter hub to schedule automation, “and draw your own animations in multiple colors… for stunning gradient effects,” Nanoleaf said. The new products will be available in spring 2024, with pricing to be announced later.
Meanwhile, Orchestrator software can use real-time music analysis and beat detection to create color and light shows. It purportedly surpasses existing music visualization tools, which simply pick up audio in a space by connecting directly to a computer’s sound source, to deliver “the most accurate real-time audiovisual experience,” the company said. In other words, you’ll get a light show that’s perfectly synced with your favorite music apps, including playlists and songs.
Orchestrator will launch in spring 2024, run through the Nanoleaf desktop application, and is compatible with any music streaming platform or audio player. The company also announced that its Skylight smart modular ceiling lights, launched last year, are now available for pre-order, priced at $250 for a Smarter Kit (3 panels) and $70 for each expansion pack (1 panel).
