Flying from Tokyo, Japan to the U.S. for the Super Bowl and watching boyfriend Travis Kelce play was so important to pop star Taylor Swift that she apparently has a third Two private jets are on standby.
On Saturday, it was reported that Swift had a second private jet while she was performing a series of concerts in Tokyo. Flight Radar 24, a global flight tracking service and aptly named “Backup Quarterback” on its website. Jason Rabinowitz, co-host of FlightRadar24’s AvTalk podcast, added that private jet operator VistaJet has mechanics on standby at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport in case something goes wrong.
“The logistics of #TaylorSwift flying across the globe to watch a football game are quite a undertaking,” Rabinowitz Said in X’s post, the platform was formerly known as Twitter. “I heard @vistajet has more than just mechanics at HND [the Haneda Airport code] It also has a second aircraft on standby just in case anything goes wrong. Basically a private Air Force One. “
Rabinowitz told Gizmodo that he learned about the second plane, a Bombardier Global 6000 with the call sign VTJ968, from friends in the private jet industry, but declined to be more specific. Gizmodo reached out to Swift’s team and VistaJet for comment on the alleged second aircraft but did not receive a response.
Fortunately, there were no problems with the first aircraft, which was also a Bombardier Global 6000 with the call sign VJT993. FlightRadar24 named it “Football Era”. But how do we know for sure this is Swift’s flight? Ian Petchenik, director of communications for FlightRadar24, told Gizmodo in an email that while they couldn’t confirm whether she was on board, based on the information they received, the team was “highly confident” it was her flight.
VJT993 departed from Tokyo at 11:36 pm local time and is expected to arrive in Los Angeles at 3:27 pm local time on Saturday, giving her plenty of time to travel to Las Vegas to watch Sunday’s Super Bowl. Pechenik said an average of 6,000 people were watching Swift’s nine-hour flight from Tokyo to Los Angeles on Saturday. During the final hour of the flight, Gizmodo confirmed that more than 10,400 people were monitoring the flight.
As for the “backup quarterback,” also known as VTJ968, it appeared to take off in the opposite direction after Swift’s flight.
If Swift’s second plane is indeed live in Tokyo, it will take her carbon footprint to a whole new level.this is one thing Lend your private jet to your friends Or use it to meet your boyfriend, but if the first plane breaks down and you send it back empty, it’s a whole different ballgame to get the second plane out.
