If you need a lot of storage for your Nintendo Switch, Raspberry Pi, or any other device that still accepts microSD cards, here’s a great option: A 1TB version of Lexar’s Professional 1066x card is selling for $76.49 on Amazon right now. This is the lowest price we’ve tracked for this model, and is about $9 less than the card’s typical market price. The discount is part of a major sale on Lexar storage devices, which begins on Sunday, World Backup Day, an observance aimed at raising awareness about data protection and preservation. (Seagate, Crucial and other storage manufacturers are still selling.)

The Professional 1066x isn’t officially a choice in our microSD card buying guide, as it’s a bit slower than our top picks, the Samsung Pro Plus and Pro Ultimate, especially in terms of sequential read speeds (which is great when you want to access large files stored A very important point) on the card). Still, neither card offers 1TB of capacity—the Pro Plus will, but not until later this year—and the Lexar model didn’t lag far behind in our benchmark tests. It’s sufficient for devices like the Switch or Steam Deck that limit the microSD card to standard UHS-I speeds, or even more casually for capturing 4K video. We’ll note that there are some 1TB cards available at lower prices, but among the models we tested, this is a solid value for those who need high capacity the most.
Meanwhile, if you want a standard SD card, the sale also brings the SD version of the 1TB Professional 1066x down to $110. This is another all-time low, and about $15 less than the regular price for this model.
