One of the more frustrating aspects of TikTok used to be how hard it was to find videos you really liked and wanted to watch again but accidentally swiped past or watched a day or two ago. Previously, you had to follow a long and complicated set of steps to find your viewing history on TikTok, and it was hardly worth it. Now, however, you can easily find your viewing history – and delete it if you want. All you have to do is:
You should now see a gallery of all the videos you’ve watched in the past 180 days. Click on anything you want to watch again.
If you want to delete any or all videos from your history, it’s easy to arrange it. (If desired, you can save your viewing history and then return to the TikTok website to delete it) Settings and privacythen to Account > Download your data.) To delete one or more videos you’ve watched:
Note that even if you delete all your videos, they’re not completely gone: TikTok’s explanation of viewing history says, “We will continue to retain your viewing history data for a period of time to optimize your experience.” In other words, TikTok will still use your history to feed its algorithm.
