As a Business Development Manager (BDM), your primary purpose is to provide excellent customer service to potential customers and confirmed dealers to obtain long-term customer referrals for long-term vehicle rentals.
Responsibilities:
As a BDM, you will identify a group of qualified distributors/dealers with whom business relationships can be established, subject to the approval of the headquarters. BDM will work with dealers to:
- Be empowered by dealer stakeholders to collaborate with their personnel to provide business solutions to their qualified customers.
- Explain to dealer personnel the long-term rental solutions offered by the company and the eligibility criteria
- Ensure appropriate compliance (legal and specific dealer policies) are followed
- Obtain vehicle information from dealers to provide quotes
- Obtain the correct POPIA authorization from the reseller/customer to be able to contact and demonstrate the product to the customer and answer all their questions
- Submit quotation to client for acceptance and signature
- Obtain all required application documentation from customer/distributor
- Get the “pay due” payment shown in the accepted quote
- Submit application to the head office for approval
- Keep dealers and customers informed of timelines and manage delivery expectations
- Arrange and coordinate vehicle delivery with dealer/customer
- In addition to obtaining business through designated dealers, BDMs should market themselves and the company to obtain business outside of their designated dealer network
Require:
- Grade 12
- Higher education qualifications would be beneficial
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Automotive Industry Knowledge
- Microsoft Office software
- No criminal record
- Stable track record
