Apple adds game emulator to App Store

In the latest update to its App Store Developer Guidelines for iPhone and iPad, Apple tagged 9 to 5indicating that it will allow for console emulators and even downloadable games.

However, Apple warns developers that they are “responsible for [their] applications, including ensuring that such software complies with these Guidelines and all applicable laws. ” So don’t expect to play Super Mario, Spyro, Or the third game series starting with “S”.

OpenAI and Google use text transcribed from YouTube videos to train their artificial intelligence models, potentially infringing on creators’ copyrights, according to a report. New York Times. The report highlights how OpenAI, Google, and Meta are trying to maximize data for artificial intelligence, citing the views of many people familiar with these companies’ practices.

It’s not that these companies rely on the (sometimes good or bad) automated transcriptions provided by YouTube itself. OpenAI reportedly transcribed more than a million hours of YouTube videos using its Whisper speech recognition tool to train GPT-4. However, the report claims that people at Google knew but failed to act — because Google was doing the same thing to train its own AI models. Google tells Now It only uses video content from consenting creators.

Musk announced the news on X.

a few hours later Reuters Tesla boss Elon Musk said on the Drive a taxi. The same report said Musk’s directive was to “go all out” with robotaxis built on the company’s small vehicle platform.

In response to the report, the Tesla CEO tweeted: “Reuters lied (again).” Given that he confirmed the robotaxi plans, he may mean that more affordable Tesla electric cars are still available Under consideration, at least for now.

There are three companies competing.

Three companies are pitching lunar rover designs to support NASA’s upcoming Artemis mission. NASA announced this week that it has selected Intuitive Machines, Lunar Outpost and Venturi Astrolab to develop the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) during a feasibility study next year. The LTV is required to serve as both a manned and unmanned vehicle, sometimes as a means of transportation for astronauts and sometimes as a remotely operated explorer. NASA says it will have contracts with selected lunar services through 2039. Check out these options.
