Amazon is generally not a good place to buy laptops. Many of the models listed there come from sketchy third-party sellers, while rival retailers like Best Buy offer a wider selection and better prices. However, the retail giant tends to get its act together during major shopping events.

Such is the case with Amazon’s Spring Sale, scheduled to run from March 20 to 25. Amazon’s early sales include some above-average laptop discounts. (Plus, we know they’re all legal because they’re shipped and sold by Amazon itself.) It’s still not a huge selection, but it at least covers popular brands like Apple, Samsung, and Asus, including the former’s new M3 MacBook Air variant.

The latest 13-inch MacBook Air, launched earlier this month, builds on the great design of its predecessor, features a faster M3 processor, and adds support for WiFi 6E and two external displays. The $49.01 discount is essentially in line with Best Buy’s pre-order deal, which is exclusive to paying members of its My Best Buy program (and its biggest price cut yet — 99 cents). The same offer also applies to the 15-inch version.

Samsung just released its new Galaxy Book4 series of laptops in the US, so it makes perfect sense for Amazon to drop the Galaxy Book3 to this new all-time low price. Specifications for this stylish entry-level laptop launching in early 2023 include a 13th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, a healthy 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Note that it installs with Windows 11 Pro (which includes BitLocker encryption), not the standard Windows 11 Home edition.

why we like it
We wouldn’t call it a budget pick, but it’s an extremely reasonable price for a sleek and durable gaming laptop with good specs, including an efficient AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card and a huge (17.3-inch) 144Hz display. The current price on Amazon is $1,099.99, which is $100 cheaper than the Asus website. It is only $11 away from its all-time low.
