Telecom company Bharti Airtel on Tuesday announced that Airtel Business, the B2B arm of the Bharti Airtel Group, will power at least 20 million smart meters of Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL).
Airtel said in a press release that it will provide reliable and secure connections for all AESL smart meter deployments through its nationwide communications network. The meters were installed to simplify the company’s communications.
In addition to this, Airtel’s smart meter solution, powered by NB-IoT (Narrow Band IoT), 4G and 2G, will help AESL ensure instant connectivity and uninterrupted connectivity of critical data between smart meters and head-end applications transmission.
“The solution will also be equipped with Airtel’s IoT platform – ‘Airtel IoT Hub’, which in addition to providing real-time insights and services, also supports smart meter tracking and monitoring, and has advanced analysis and diagnostic capabilities to enable customers to Able to enhance control over energy consumption,” the press release said.
Power companies in several states including Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra have ordered over 20 million smart meters from Adani Energy Solutions to streamline and record consumption in various regions. power.
