Cloud consultancy Rebura, which specializes in supporting AWS cloud migration and modernization in the UK, Nordic and Central Europe regions, has been acquired by global technology reseller Westcon-Comstor.

Founded in 2017, London-based Rebura empowers companies of all sizes to build and optimize applications and workloads on AWS to improve productivity, scalability, cost efficiency and security.

Rebura is a qualified and fully accredited AWS Advanced Services Partner and Solution Provider with seven AWS capabilities, including Migration, Microsoft Workloads, and DevOps.

Westcon-Comstor connects major IT vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike with a global pipeline of technology resellers, systems integrators and service providers, with operations in more than 70 countries and more than 3,500 employees worldwide. Revenue in fiscal 2023 (the year ending February 28, 2023) reached a record $3.42 billion, an 18.3% annual increase.

Westcon-Comstor, part of Datatec Group, said the acquisition of Rebura will enhance its cloud capabilities and enable its channel partners to provide a range of AWS solutions to their customers, including cloud consulting, migration services, FinOps, AWS Marketplace excellence and security. Consistent professional service.

After the acquisition, Westcon-Comstor will gradually provide Rebura consulting services. Rebura will be maintained as an independent organization and form the basis of Westcon-Comstor’s AWS business line.

Following a period of sustained organic growth, including double-digit revenue growth over the past two fiscal years, the transaction represents a new pillar of Westcon-Comstor’s growth strategy focused on targeted strategic acquisitions.

David Grant, CEO of Westcon-Comstor, said: “Moving workloads to the cloud and maintaining security resiliency are two of the biggest challenges facing end-user enterprises.

“This is a significant opportunity for the pipeline, but many of our partners do not have the AWS migration and security skills required to support customers during this process. As a result of this exciting acquisition, our collaboration Partners will now be able to access these capabilities through Rebura as part of a seamless and unique proposition.”

“Over the past seven years, we have built Rebura into one of the fastest-growing AWS consulting and services partners, and today marks an exciting new chapter in our history,” said Aaron Rees, founder and CEO of Rebura.

“Westcon-Comstor’s global reach and extremely strong channel connections will provide us with a larger platform to grow by bringing our deep expertise in AWS products and services to a broader audience.”
