    Why is one of the largest legal podcasts shutting down?

    Just before the holiday, Law 360 Long-running and critically acclaimed podcast canceled Tell me personallywhich greatly surprised the legal profession and the legal media. Tell me personallyFirst launched in 2017, it is considered one of the most popular legal news podcasts on the market and is particularly popular among lawyers and law students.It even had a Hollywood moment in 2022, when the eponymous character on Disney+ She-Hulk: Lawyer Show listening to podcasts.

    The decision to cut the show seemed to come out of the blue. Tell me personally co-host and Law 360 Senior journalist Alex Lawson tells hot pods The team was notified just two days before taping the show’s final episode, which was released on December 21. According to senior producer Steven Trader, the show didn’t suffer from declining listeners or any of the other issues that typically precede cancellations. Trader said it wasn’t until 2022, when the show began releasing via Megaphone, that it began seriously pursuing analytics and advertising. Even so, no one from management pressed the team about downloads or ad sales.
