Salesforce is committed to making AI implementation easier and more predictable, announcing a series of new products and services during the Salesforce World Tour New York event on April 25.
- Einstein Copilot’s generative artificial intelligence assistant is generally available.
- Two new bundles: Artificial Intelligence Implementation Bundle and Data Management Bundle.
- The new user experience for sales leaders is called Slack Sales Elevate.
Einstein Copilot and proxy functionality now generally available
Salesforce Einstein Copilot, which acts as an assistant alongside other Salesforce CRM products, has been in public beta since February 2024 and will be generally available on April 25.
In addition, Einstein Copilot has a new feature called Copilot Actions, which allows Copilot “agents” to chain actions together to complete tasks autonomously. For example, Copilot Actions can create thorough plans, analyze call logs, and create follow-up emails for sales reps and managers.
Einstein Copilot can be purchased in a variety of ways:
- Einstein add-on products are available for Salesforce Enterprise and Salesforce Unlimited Editions.
- Salesforce Einstein version 1.
- Salesforce AI Implementation Suite.
The AI Implementation Bundle and Data Governance Bundle combine Salesforce’s AI data management tools
Organizations may need to demonstrate that their AI use of customer data is secure, private and ethical. Salesforce has created two bundles to solve this problem and make it easier for customers to deploy AI securely:
- AI implementation package, including Einstein Copilot, Einstein 1 Studio, platform license, sandbox (Figure A) and data masking.
- Data governance bundle, including Shield, Security Center, and Privacy Center.

Availability and pricing
Both bundles are available on April 23 and are available for purchase globally within Salesforce’s Einstein 1 platform, wherever the Salesforce platform is sold. The platform’s Platform Starter plan costs $25 per user per month and the Platform Plus plan costs $100 per user per month.

Choose between generative AI models
Customers can select which generative AI models to access and use the sandbox to preview what their outputs might look like and what data might be extracted from them, without exposing private data to the rest of the organization.
Sandboxing is particularly important when using generative AI in a work environment due to the uncertainty of the output.
“It’s not writing the same email for every customer,” Alice Steinglass, executive vice president and general manager of Salesforce Platform, told TechRepublic. “So I wanted to try it, and I wanted to try it with real data, and that’s why we launched this AI implementation package.”
How Salesforce enables AI governance with new bundle
“We want to give you the control and the ability, as these regulations change, to still be able to manage: What privacy restrictions do I need to have on my data?” Steinglass was referring to the two packages. “We have the right to be forgotten, we have new privacy regulations. There might be something new that I need to cover up, maybe a new retention policy — all of that has changed. I want to be able to understand what’s in my data.
The AI implementation bundle “gives them (companies) a playground with a sandbox where they can test it, they can try it, and they can train users on how to use it,” Stanglass said.

“Our data governance bundles enable you to meet all the regulatory requirements you need, no matter where you are,” said Steinglass.
AI integration added to Slack Sales Elevate
In Slack, Salesforce is adding a variety of new AI sales tools, integrating Slack Sales Elevate, Sales Cloud and Slack AI. Launched on April 24, these tools provide leaders with an overview of their team’s performance, pipeline profiles and account records.
Salesforce says Sales Elevate was created in response to increasing sales pressure to hit targets. Together, Slack AI, Sales Cloud, and Sales Elevate enable sales team members to:
- Summarize which trades the team won or lost or which trades changed in value.
- Group transactions in Slack are synced to Salesforce by category.
- Later in 2024, Slack AI will be able to use company information from Salesforce to automatically build account plans, mutual close plans, or executive summaries.
- Later in 2024, Slack AI will be able to create “logging channels,” which archive information about new opportunities in Salesforce through templates, including activity and updated status (Picture B).

Slack Sales Elevate’s AI enhancements require subscriptions to Slack Sales Elevate and Slack AI. Slack Sales Elevate costs $60 per user per month for users of the Sales Cloud version of the Slack Business+ plan and above. Slack AI costs $10 per user per month for those who pay for the Slack Pro, Business+ and Enterprise plans.
