    Watch Billie Eilish & Barbie Win 2024 Oscar for Best Original Song for “What Was I Made For”

    Billie Eilish’s existential song “What I Was Born For” Barbie single, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. The win marks the second Oscar win for Eilish and her brother and co-writer Finneas O’Connell, who also won in 2022 for their unforgettable Bond theme song “No Time to Die.”

    (In a perfect world, they would also have At least Nominated for the Gold Award for Pixar’s Boy Band “Nobody Like U” turn red.)

    Eilish and O’Connell have been honored for their work throughout awards season Barbie, won the Golden Globe and Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Best Song for Visual Media. The pair also performed “What Was I Made For” earlier in the show, featuring orchestra and band. Barbie Pink background.

    Other nominees for best original song this year include “Wahzazhe (Song for My People)” Killers of the Flower Moon“It never goes away” American Symphony Orchestraand “The Fire Within” fiery as fireand another hit song, “I’m Just Ken.” Barbie‘s soundtrack, which Ryan Gosling performed earlier in the night.

    Guess what Ken said is true: “It doesn’t seem to matter what I do—I’m always second.” But can you really blame Barbie when competition is as poignant as “What was I born for?” existential angst?
