    LinkedIn back on track after massive outage in multiple countries

    Update 5:50 PM ET: LinkedIn appears to have been restored globally, but it’s still unclear what caused the outage.

    It’s not just you. LinkedIn is experiencing a massive service outage, and users are complaining to other social media sites like X and Facebook.

    It’s unclear what caused the LinkedIn outage, but Down Detector received tens of thousands of complaints, which appear to have started around 3 p.m. ET.network block Report LinkedIn is out of service in “multiple countries,” suggesting it’s a global problem.

    This outage follows major outages at other sites, such as Facebook and Instagramboth were paralyzed for several hours on Tuesday.

    Currently, anyone trying to access LinkedIn from the United States will see an image that says “An error occurred,” along with instructions directing users to the Help Center. But clicking the Help Center link won’t bring you any useful information. Even clicking on the “Contact Us” hyperlink will take you back to the currently closed LinkedIn domain.

    The help center page currently gives an error with the following content:

    Unable to locate server; server has no DNS entry. The server name may be misspelled or the server no longer exists; double-check the name and try again.Please double check the URL (address) you use, or contact us If you think you have visited this page in error.

    Many theories about LinkedIn’s possible outage have surfaced on social media sites, including conspiracy theories that crop up whenever such outages occur.Many insist there was something fishy about AT&T’s outage late last month, comparing the outage to a Netflix movie leave the world behind.

    A LinkedIn spokesperson reached out to Gizmodo via email for comment and forwarded a tweet It says“It’s not you, it’s us. You may be experiencing issues when trying to access LinkedIn. Our team is working on a fix, you can check for updates on our status page: https://linkedin-status.com”.
