Universal Music has made good on its threat to pull music from the social media platform after negotiations with TikTok failed. That means no more TayTay, no more Drake, no more… all the other artists that fall under their corporate umbrella. And some senators once again appeared out of touch and out of their depth. Mark Zuckerberg, Evan Spiegel, Jason Citron, Linda Yaccarino and Shou Zhou spent nearly four hours being grilled by lawmakers, but we’ve managed to boil down the key points as well as the social Responses from group media executives to these points.

The hearing was the first time Spiegel, Citron and Yacarino testified before Congress. Dick Durbin noted that Citron “only accepted service of subpoenas after U.S. Marshals were dispatched to Discord headquarters at taxpayer expense.”
